An installment plan with SKAT allows your business to pay VAT, tax or duties over an agreed period instead of all at once. It can be a solution if liquidity is tight, but you still want to meet ongoing payment obligations. With a properly applied installment plan, your business avoids unnecessary fees, interest and the risk of collection.
Conditions for getting an installment plan with SKAT
Before your business can set up an installment plan, the following requirements must be met:
- The company must not have debts for collection
- The company can only have one payment plan at a time
- The company must not have one or more reports that have been provisionally determined because the company has not reported A-tax, VAT or other taxes
- The company must have complied with any previous payment arrangements on the tax account within the last month
- An installment plan can run for a maximum of one year
How to apply
You can apply digitally via skat.dk. Follow these steps:
- Log in to skat.dk with your company login
- Select "Tax account"
- Select Payment method"
- Select create new payment plan"
- Here you can choose the installment plan that best suits your company's finances.
