A new digital bookkeeping law has been adopted that will come into force over a longer period starting from October 1, 2022. The new digital bookkeeping law has a major impact on how bookkeeping is handled and how bookkeeping material is stored.
The new Digital Bookkeeping Act has three main elements:
- Statutory accounting procedure
- Use of approved accounting software
- Storing documents digitally
The new Digital Bookkeeping Act is mandatory and cannot be waived.
