Time registration
Time tracking becomes mandatory – what your business needs to do
What do you need to know?
Following the passing of a bill, all Danish companies must ensure that their employees register their time in a time tracking system from July 1, 2024.
This is to ensure all employees comply with current regulations, such as the 48-hour rule and the rest hour rule.
The new legislation introduces a number of new measures
- Employees must be able to track time
- Registration must be in an online tool
- The tool must be available for control efforts
Who is covered?
Time registration will be a requirement for all employees who cannot organize their own time. A CEO will not be covered by the new rules as he can organize his own hours.
There are no exceptions for hourly employees, salaried employees, young workers, seasonal workers or part-time employees.
At Accountview, we recommend using Salary’s time tracking tools. If you need help setting up or choosing a solution, we are happy to advise you.
