The new Digital Bookkeeping Act requires all companies to use approved accounting software in the future. The purpose is to ensure transparent and correct bookkeeping to minimize errors and allow authorities to quickly gain insight into the accounts. For sole proprietorships, it applies from January 1, 2026, while for companies it applies from July 1, 2024. It also applies to holding companies and companies with minimal activity.
